Large Boilers
Boilers Utilizing 500,000 BTU/hr or greater |

Low or High Pressure, Hot Water or Steam Boilers Available |

These Boilers are a complete
and fully integrated system that
come with all the necessary components:
3-Pass Firebox Boiler:
designed and constructed to the ASME Boiler Code.
Brand new 3-Pass firebox boiler with a large
combustion volume for a maximum system
efficiency.
Stoker Base:
stoker walls are lined with approximately 12" high
temperature insulation and poured refractory.
Included is a chain grate cast from high heat
resistant alloy.
Combustion Air Blower:
volume of air delivered is directly proportional to
the amount of fuel combusted on the chain grate. It
is controlled by Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
Multi-Screw Fuel Conveyor:
it is designed to convey
many various fuels some of which are wood, manure,
ground corn stalks, sugar beets, construction waste, etc.
and other similar types of solid fuels onto the chain
grate in a metered, consistent manner. Fuel feed
ratio is directly related to the power demanded by
boiler's temperature control system.
2 Screw Fuel Conveyor:
it is designed to convey coal and is used if coal is
the only fuel to be used.
Automatic Ash Removal:
the ash removal system is fully automated. It is
designed to remove all the ash generated from the
solid fuel combustion. Removal is from the stoker as
well as the multi-clone system.
PLC Control Panel:
designed to operate the stoker, twin-screw and
multi-screw fuel conveyors, ash removal augers,
combustion air and exhaust fan. Complete with 8"
Color user interface touch screen.
Soot Blower:
the function of the soot blower is to increase heat
transfer efficiency. PLC controlled, it is programmed
to clean the tubes at preset
intervals.
Multi-Cyclone Dust Collector:
the heart of the system is multi-cyclone design
complete with exhaust blower, air lock and fly ash
removal auger.
Automatic Pulsating, Soot Blower, Tube Cleaning System:
Consists of a number of air jets, (one for each
tube), mounted on the boiler directly in front of the
boiler tubes. Its function is to maintain the fire
tubes, cleaning at all times by introducing
compressed air into the boiler tubes at pre-set
intervals, thus increasing its heat recovery
efficiency.
Time, Temperature and Turbulence:
Our system design
incorporates the three components required for
efficient combustion of solid fuel.
The combination of over-fire air and the air passing
through the fuel bed provides turbulence required for
rapid and complete combustion of solid fuel. The
Chain Grate Stoker design has a significant advantage
over other systems. The system provides a large area
of the chain grate that is conservatively designed to
assure a complete combustion of solid fuel.
The principal combustion and over fire design of the BFT
Boiler gives you three distinct combustion
controls.
1. Modulating Fuel Feed Rate
2. Modulating Air Flow Rate
3. Modulating Grate Speed Rate
The HOLD FIRE mode is used only during the periods of low heat
demand. If the system reaches the set point
temperature, the system will shut down. If the
temperature remains at the set point for a long time,
the system will start up at a pre-set time interval
in order to maintain fire. The time interval is
selectable by the user. For example, if the
temperature during the day is 65° F, the fire will
stay lit with no demand from the boiler. This is
programmed in the Control Panel and is due to the
full air flow coming up under the Chain Grate through
the fuel. When the temperature lowers to 20° F at
night, the boiler will meet that demand and promptly
produce the heat that is needed. Our experience with
a 100bhp, 150PSI steam boiler shows that the recovery
time from the Hold Fire mode.
Standard plate grate boilers create several problems when
removing the ash. Not only does the boiler have to be
shut down and re-started, but the ash must be
manually removed from the firebox to a
container. When scraping, or shoveling the ash
it creates a fine dust that settles on everything in
the boiler room as well as an ash problem on the
floor that needs to be cleaned up. Sweeping the ash
off the floor also adds to the fine dust floating
around the boiler room. With the Biofuel Boiler Technologies LLC Boiler System the ash box is
outside which allows your boiler room,
walls, ceiling, and floor to stay very clean.
